In cosponsoring the Teachers Professional Development Institutes Act, Congressman John Carney said, "As the son of two educators, I learned at an early age the vital role teachers play in the lives of their students. Teachers Institutes are a good way to provide teachers the training and tools they need to be effective in the classroom. I am pleased that my home state of Delaware is pursuing a Teachers Institute, and I look forward to seeing its continued success."
