Appendix–Implementing District Standards

The Arizona State Science Standard Articulated by Grade Level for Elementary fifth grade will be addressed in this curriculum. The Inquiry Process will be the focus of teaching the unit. Students will identify the scientific process in the activities and research students will be completing. History and Nature of Science standard and Science in Personal, and Social Perspectives standard will be integrated as well as the Arizona Native American Language standards to develop communication skills on science topics in speaking, reading, and writing. They include the following:
