Introduction

When it comes to art and nature, geometry is right in the thick of it waiting to be noticed. Artists since the beginning of time have had a fascination with depicting nature, and nature is there waiting for those artists with hidden patterns and sequences waiting to be captured and deciphered. Using art in the math classroom provides students with a whole new vocabulary to use when combining the two ideas, and allows for students with mental blocks against math to open up in new ways.
