Unit Overview
My goal is to employ multimodal learning which is teaching a concept that uses more than one mode or methodology. This type of learning employs materials for different learning styles; visual, auditory, reading, writing, and kinesthetic. In addition, I plan to incorporate collaborative learning, close looking, realia, creative expression, and cultural projects to create a rich and engaging learning environment that provides my students the opportunity to explore the human form as it is represented across art, culture, and time. Implementing these teaching strategies will ensure that I am meeting the diverse learning needs of my students while helping them connect target language vocabulary and structures related to the human body with broader cultural themes like identity, health, and representation.
