Completing this unit requires that students have met the following learning objectives according to the College Board’s Course and Exam Description for AP-ES: STB-4.E – describe how the climate is changing in response to human activities, STB-4.F – identify and describe specific examples of climate change on the global and local scales, and STB-1 – identify specific actions that be taken to mitigate the impact of climate change [in Delaware]. In addition, students use the following Science Practices in this unit: 1 – explain environmental concepts, processes, and models presented in written format, 2 – analyze and interpret quantitative data represented in tables, charts, and graphs, 6 – apply quantitative methods to address environmental concepts, and 7 – propose and justify solutions to environmental problems.
