(a) Introduction.

(1) In Grade 7, students study the history of Texas from early times to the present. Railroads Age of Oil; Texas eras. The focus in each era is on key events, issues, and their impact. Students will analyze the impact of the Oil industry in Texas.34

(b) Introduction.

  1. The fine arts incorporate the study of dance, music, theatre, and the visual arts to offer unique experiences and empower students to explore realities, relationships, and ideas. These disciplines engage and motivate all students through active learning, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving. (a) Students may fulfill fine arts and elective requirements for graduation by completing one or more of the following art courses: Drawing I, Painting I, Photography I, Design I, and Digital Art will be our focus.35
