PERSONAL MAP ASSIGNMENT

GUIDELINES

A personal life map is one in which you chart one of the following: the highs and lows of your life, a series of significant things, important places/things/people to you, or steps along in your life. In creating your personal life map the following elements must be considered:

  1. Your map does not need to be of only one (1) area or location. It can encompass whatever you need it to include and can switch from land, sea, building, thing, or person. Use your imagination.
  2. Medium—a mixture is usually better than just one, but not always. Classroom materials are available, but you are not limited to using only them.
  3. Destinations—your map should have a minimum of seven (7) places/things, etc. Remember that using only a minimum does not generally equate to a high grade.
  4. Execution of assignment entails the quality of your final work. Think of simple things—sloppy, misspellings, no labels, no key, no title, no name, and poor quality equals points off.
  5. Your motif should be included on your map.
  6. Due date for this assignment is ________________________.
